Charter of K.V.INA Alumnus
Name of the charter shall be known herein after as “KV INA Alumnus”
Registered office shall be KV INA Colony New Delhi
The Main objectives of the KV INA Alumnus shall be as follows.
Mission:
To provide a forum to address the needs and support, present and former KV INA students to attain greater levels in their careers and life.
Vision
To inculcate a culture of brotherhood and camaraderie amongst the alumnus based on “Social equalitarian philosophy”, unhindered without financial and political gains.
Objectives
a) To Undertake Humanitarian and benevolent support towards needy children.
b) To mitigate financial constraints for economically backward children of KV INA.
c) To provide access, guidance, counseling to present and former students for academic, Career objectives.
d) To take up issues and causes for betterment of KV INA to the Sangathan .
e) To provide an informal social network to the Alumnus.
f) To Honor and felicitate accomplished former teachers and children of INA
g) To conceptualize, formulate and execute policies of the Governing Council.
All such objectives and incidental or ancillary to the attainment of the main objectives as mentioned above. The other objective shall be determined from time to time as debated in the “Governing Council” herein after be known as Senate, and the member shall be known as Senators.
Articles of association
Unless the contest requires words as expressions contained in these Articles shall bear the same meaning as in the Act or any statutory modification there of in force at the date at which these articles become binding on the “KV INA Alumnus”.
The Act means the “KV INA alumnus Act December 2007” and Includes where the context so admit any re-enactment or statutory modification there of for the time being in force at the date at which these Articles become binding on the KVINA Alumnus.
The articles means the KVINA Alumnus act Dec 2007 and following articles
These Articles means these Articles of Association as originally framed or as from time to time altered by special resolution of the Governing
Council known as Senate.
The charter means “KV INA Alumnus”
The “Senate” means the Governing Council.
The “Members” means members of Senate or governing council called as Senators.
The “quorum” means minimum of Five (5) members or Senators.
The “office” means KV INA colony the Alumnus registered office.
The “Maximum members” or senate shall mean and have only nine (9) members as a sealing or permanent fixation of numbers for all times to come.
The “Register” means the Register of Members or Senators of the Senate required to be kept by Governing council.
The “working Committee” shall mean a body legitimately formed or appointed by the senate.
The “Year” means an English calendar year.
The “seal’ means the common seal of the “KV INA Alumnus”
The “Proxy” means and includes Attorney duly constituted under a power of Attorney.
The “Treasurer” means one who deals financial matters with the funds of the Alumnus, also banking and accounting the said statements and accountable for his acts pertaining to financial matters.
The “Accounts” means prudent accounting practices such as book keeping and ledgers, stocks, auditing, balance sheets or any other form as required by the laws of the land.
The “EGM” means extra ordinary general body meeting of the Senate
The “Quorum” means minimum of five (5) Senators or more
The “Office bearers” means posts of the working committee for a period of one year.
The “Alumnae” means any former student of KVINA New Delhi
In “writing” and “written” include printing, lithography and other modes of representing or reproducing words in a visible from. Words imparting the singular number only include the plural number and vice versa words imparting persons include legal bodies.
Same as otherwise provided herein the Regulations contained in this charter shall apply to the KV INA alumnus and all such posts, office bearers, any such bodies and committees, adhoc or regular prior to the formulation of this Act and charter shall stand null and void and abolished.
Same as permitted for the “funds” of the “KV INA Alumnus” shall be only used directly or indirectly whether by way of loan grant or expenditure only by the appointed “Treasurer” appointed by the “Senate” or the Governing Council. For the purpose of or in connection with the main objectives of the Alumnus.
The Senate only shall have the power for the time, rights, privileges or any condition as may be determined at the option of the Senate.
Subject to the provisions of these Articles the powers so conferred shall only remain with the Senate for all times to come and for all purpose so applicable hence forth pertaining to “KV INA Alumnus”
The member of the Senate the “Senators” shall dully comply with the Act of Dec 2007 in Toto or totality under oath as embodied under this charter.
General Meeting
In addition to other meetings, Annual General Meetings of the senate shall be held within such Intervals, at such times and places as may be determined by the senate. All other meeting of the senate shall except in the case of a statutory meeting be called Extraordinary General Meeting and shall be convened under the provisions of next following Article.
The senate whenever it thinks fit can call EGM and it shall on the requisition of the senators in accordance with the articles and Act proceed to call an EGM.
The senate shall comply with the provisions of section of the act as to giving notice of resolutions and circulation statements on requisition of members. The accidental omission to give any such notice to or the non receipt by any member of other persons to whom it should be given shall not invalidate the proceedings of the meeting.
Proceeding at General Meeting.
To appoint members for working committee or any new working committees as many and members, posts etc as determined by the senate.
No business shall be transacted at any General Meeting unless a quorum of senators is present at the time, minimum of five (5) or more members either present or by proxy. Meeting convened without a quorum passes any regulation shall be devolved and invalid.
The Quorum shall be chaired by a chairman who may be any senator of the Quorum or in unanimous decision of the senate.
The retirement of a senator shall be voluntary or may by forced or decreed, impeached by a Quorum at EGM of the senate.
In case of issues a simple majority of five (5) senators is enough to conduct business except in financial matters where the quorum shall prevail to authorise such matter pertaining there off.

The senate shall have power to appoint as many “Working Committee” as required for the purpose of achieving the objectives of the charter. All such committee members shall be willing and voluntary in Nature without any Financial considerations what so ever unless and until determined by the senate.
The senate shall only have the extra ordinary power to appoint the President, Vice President and or any other such posts, e.g. secretary, Treasurer etc for working committee.
The senate shall also accept, at its discretion the popular demands of “Alumnus “or its Alumnae if found necessary.
The member of any such working committee shall be eligible for such posts or for appointment for a period of one (1) calendar year only and can opt for re appointment from the senate or through popular demands of “Alumnus” or Alumnae and the same shall be acceptable to the senate at its discretion, the senators are eligible dually or twin portfolio to the posts of office bearers to the working committee or its members and as Senators.
The Senate shall be a democratic setup which can include a poll if demanded. The demand for poll may be withdrawn before the poll is held
The demand for poll may be with drawn before the poll in held. The first senators shall continue for “KVINA Alumnus”.
The first Working Committee shall be as follows.
a) Alumni meet. d) Felicitation and Awards
b) Sports social events e) Career Guidance
c) Scholarships f) Fund raising
Every member of the senate or working committee shall before entering upon his duties sign a declaration and pledging him self responsibility, to observe a strict secrecy, responsibility and respecting all bonafide of this charter and all mater pertaining to the act of Dec 2007.
Elevation to opt for Senator’s post shall be upon vacancy in the senate having requisite eligibility as mention under eligibility. All such Alumnae are eligible for the same.
Eligibility: The mandatory vote shall be for such senator posts through the voting of members or office bearers of working committee and existing Senators and All Alumnae vote which shall be considered as one (1) vote, meaning there by senators vote plus members vote of working committee and 1 vote of Alumnae as a whole.
Eligibility for Senators
Any Alumnae having a minimum written backing of five (5) senators is eligible to contest or opt for the senate as a senator which shall be a democratic setup which can include a poll if demanded under extreme circumstance only, such circumstance shall only be determined by the Senate itself with the minimum Quorum.
With this note the Charter stands concluded for the years to come by order the Senate or the Governing council
